How M.A.S Works works
Map → Automate → Scale
The size of the job changes. The basic approach does not.
Scale does not simply mean getting bigger. It means building a business that can handle what comes next.
The problems M.A.S Works helps solve
Businesses call me for different reasons. An owner may be buried in admin, a transformation director may need an important programme back on track, and a growing company may need more senior operational leadership. In each case, the starting point is the same: understand how the business is working now and what is getting in the way.
M.A.S Works looks at how the business really runs, finds where time or money is being lost, improves the processes and systems behind it, and helps make those improvements stick. That can be a 90-day piece of work or a longer role inside the business.
Typical reasons
I am working 60 hours and too much still comes back through me.
Owner-run SME
The programme needs experienced ownership and there is nobody available to take it on.
Transformation director
The business has grown, but the way we run it has not kept up.

How M.A.S Works can help
Four ways to work with Jez
The right approach depends on the size of the business, the problem you are trying to solve and how much support you need.

Case study
Building the infrastructure for a plumbing business's next chapter
A Bingley plumbing and heating business with a clear plan for 2028 and no infrastructure to get there. Seven areas of the business reviewed, the processes written down, and the owner freed from the work that only he could do.

The work covered all seven areas of the business. It found enquiries going unlogged and unconverted, put a Green / Amber / Red framework behind delegation, documented compliance properly and onboarded a new CRM to carry the growing commercial side.

The RAG Diagnostic
For owner-run businesses, the RAG Diagnostic gives a simple picture of where your time is going. Red is work to stop or hand over, amber is work someone else can manage with your oversight, and green is work that genuinely needs you.

Who is behind M.A.S Works
I'm Jez Bristow.
Before setting up M.A.S Works, I spent more than 12 years at Direct Line Group, progressing from project and delivery roles into senior commercial, product and transformation positions on the Green Flag Executive Team.
My work has covered major partnerships, project and programme delivery, product, digital transformation, data, commercial performance, customer experience and large-scale operational change.
At Green Flag, that included helping transform a 50-year-old business with more than three million customers while it continued operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
I set up M.A.S Works in January 2025 to bring that experience into businesses that need practical help improving how they work or delivering important change.
