About Jez Bristow
I'm Jez Bristow.
Before setting up M.A.S Works, I spent more than 12 years at Direct Line Group, progressing from project and delivery roles into the Green Flag Executive Team.
My career has covered commercial leadership, product, transformation, programme delivery, digital, data and operational change across large and complex businesses.
I now use that experience through M.A.S Works, helping owner-managed businesses improve how they operate and supporting larger organisations with Project Delivery and Fractional COO / CTrO work.
I founded M.A.S Works in January 2025 and work from West and North Yorkshire with clients locally and across the UK.

Case study
Infrastructure for the next stage of growth in Bingley
A seven-area review of The Proper Plumbing Co built the processes, delegation framework and systems behind the owner's plan for 2028, and handed him back around fifteen hours of admin a month.

Before you ask
The questions I get most
You work directly with me. I spend time in the business, speak to the people doing the work and stay involved in the changes we agree.
The 90-Day Operational Review is £2,850 + VAT for three months. It is deliberately structured so an owner-managed business can get a proper review without committing to a large consultancy engagement.
The fundamentals are the same: understand how work moves, find where time or money is being lost, decide what matters most and help people adopt a better way of working. The scale and level of detail change.
With a smaller business, the work is kept proportionate. The focus is on useful outputs, clear actions and getting changes made.
Then I scope that piece of work. A sprint starts at £475 a day and most run for two or three weeks.
Ninety minutes at the start, then a day a month for three months. Your staff give me an hour each.
The interviews are often useful in their own right because they give people space to explain how the job is really being done and where the problems sit.
The 90-Day Operational Review and local retainers are mainly across West Yorkshire, including Bradford, Bingley, Keighley, Leeds, Halifax and Huddersfield. Interim and fractional work can go much further afield, using a mix of on-site and remote work.
I will say so during the first conversation. Sometimes the answer is a small change you can make yourself, and there is no reason to turn that into a paid engagement.
